If you are entering the Bake Off or if you fancy doing a bit of cooking using Fairtrade ingredients here is a list of what is usually available in Matlock.

If in doubt check for the Fairtrade Mark 
Fairtrade; bananas, a wide variety of sugars, icing sugar, tea, coffee, cocoa, chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, ginger, mixed spice, honey, marmalade and jam.

Sometimes extra Fairtrade items can be found in Matlock stores especially around Fairtrade Fortnight so keep your eyes peeled. Things like citrus fruits, pineapple, mango, grapes and blueberries.

A much wider selection of Fairtrade ingredients can be found at Traidlinks in Wirksworth including dried fruit, nuts, golden syrup, peanut butter, fudge and sweet items for decorating cakes and bakes.

 

If you usually shop in larger stores in bigger towns there is a wider choice of Fairtrade goods depending on the store. Larger stores of Cooperative Supermarkets, Sainsburys, Waitrose and M&S are the best for Fairtrade products.
